WHAT: French Inspired Bakery-Cafe

Kruvasan is a cafe/bakery which, as its name insinuates, offers croissants (plain or chocolate - exquisite and properly French) alongside a variety of fresh baked goods from sweet brownies and pies to savoury quiches and bread loaves. It serves as a breakfast or coffee break venue, offering of course a full range of coffees, teas, etc.

Co-owned with next door Kruton restaurant; and sharing a common terrace it is diffiuclt to seperate the two especailly when it comes to breakfast when your selection will be coming out of a mix of the two.

OCCASION: Any time of day starting from breakfast to coffee break to lunch to tea time.

ENVIRONMENT: As mentioned above, the adjacent locales are very very small, which limits seating in the winter; although the front terrace is covered and heated so it's bearable in less than fine weather. Kruvasan is set up like a hip little cafe/bakery whereas Kruton is a classic little restaurant with about 5 tables (fitted together very cozily).

AMBIANCE: Neighbourhood locale feeling; warm and in some way secluded (as it's small and although you are on the street you are not in everyone's direct field of vision). Always rather busy; mainly with mid-aged local residents.

STYLE: As you feel comfortable according to the time of day.

LOCATION: Nişantaşı, Istanbul
